I love when magazine covers are done right! I think fashion magazines need to stop hiring celebrities for cover shoots and editorials just to sell their magazines. Think Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Glamour, Elle…the list is endless, in the US at least.
I believe it’s much classier when celebrities are glamorized because of their individual style, not because they’re sponsoring a label or following certain trends. Everyone can do that and everyone does do that. I mean seriously folks – where has your own creativity gone? Quit biting and conforming…get your own style – whatever it is, own it! Don’t get me wrong, you like what you see…make it work and fit into who you are, not the way around. Conform the clothing, not your identity; your style should be an extension of your personality, a reflection of who you are as an individual.
So here’s to not following trends with Harper’s Bazaar Turkey September 2011 cover shoot and fashion editorial. Featuring the work of fashion photographer Koray Birand, fashion model Tiiu Kuik and fashion stylist Isabel Dupré, always keepin’ it classy!
